A change of empire

All civilisations rise and fall. Yet, at any point in time the fabric of daily life appears stable and unchanging. The human mind is not equipped to perceive incremental change. I believe there is a change of empire going on at this present stage of our history.

We’re seeing a widespread rise of populism and polarisation, fostered by social media platforms that are narrowing our views and interactions. We’re witnessing the corruption of democratic ideals and the self-serving decisions that are being made for vested interests. And there is real, tangible evidence that our species may not survive because of what we’re doing to the planet.

Now, more than ever, we need leaders to make wise choices. Without wisdom, we’re all going to suffer.
